Apollo Bridge
The entire length of the Apollo Bridge is suspended on one side by a total 21 small separators. Three types of filters are used inside: coalescing, adsorption and activated carbon. These provide three-stage cleaning of oil from bridge water while not burdening the environment. Water escapes or directly falls from the Apollo Bridge into the Danube.
The separators were designed for coverage by a bridge specialist from Dopravoprojekt Bratislava in collaboration with a water resource management construction engineer. We provided technical consultation to experts in bridge issues as the manufacturing company.
The order for 21 small separators was received in 2005 from MCE Stahl-und Maschinenbau GmbH, Linz, which provided the bridge’s steel structure.
